How to Receive Eternal Life

Everyone Has Sinned

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. —Romans 3:23 NKJV
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags. —Isaiah 64:6 NIV

Our Sins Deserve Eternal Punishment

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. —Revelation 20:15 NKJV

God's Solution for Sin
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 6:23 NKJV
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. —Romans 5:8 NIV
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. —1 Corinthians 15:3-4 NIV
You Can Be Saved Now:
Turn Away From Sin...
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. —Acts 3:19 NIV
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. —1 John 1:8-9 NKJV
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. —Galatians 5:19-21 NIV
...and Put Your Faith in Jesus to Save You
“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” —John 3:16 AMP
“Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.”
—John 3:18 NIV
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. —Romans 10:9 NIV
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. —Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
If you're ready to surrender to Him, you can pray this from your heart...
"I admit to God that I'm a sinner. I turn away from my sins and commit myself to follow Jesus and His ways. I believe that Jesus Christ is God. I believe He died to take the punishment for my sins and was raised back to life. I now receive Him as my Lord and Savior. I receive His forgiveness. I believe His blood washes away my sins and makes me worthy of Heaven."
You Can Be Sure of Heaven
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” —John 5:24 NKJV
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. —1 John 5:13 NKJV
But these have been written so that you may believe [with a deep, abiding trust] that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), the Son of God; and that by believing [and trusting in and relying on Him] you may have life in His name. —John 20:31 AMP
Continue in Faith and Repentance to the End
But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. —Colossians 1:22-23 NIV
